Only available on Pro Business (added option) & Enterprise with Address Verification Edition

The Verify (Address Verification) module will allow you check the validity and deliverability of every physical address on your mailing list.

It will automatically correct and add all missing address elements, comparing it to the very latest country data, adding ZIP+4 info, Latitude/Longitude,  Carrier Route info, LOT Codes, County Names and Codes, Congressional Districts and much more.

By default, the following fields are automatically added to each record.

Address Fields

Address Quality Index

The Address Quality Index (AQI) is used to indicate the quality of an address, e.g., Excellent quality, Good quality, Average quality, Poor quality, and Bad quality. Any record that is able to be parsed will have an AQI.

Two factors decide the address quality, post-processed verification match level and Matchscore.

Excellent Quality ‘A’ examples

999 Baker Way, San Mateo, CA, 94404, US

The address is verified to the Premise level without changes. The post-processed verification match level is 4, and the Matchscore is 100, the Address Quality Index is A.

80 Rama 2 Rd , Bangkok, 10150, Thailand

Good Quality ‘B’ examples

Rua Jose Iziboro Bizetto 158, Curitiba, 81200-240, Brazil

The address is verified to the Premise level with small change. The post-processed verification match level is 4, the Matchscore is 96, and an AQI “B” is returned.

Average Quality ‘C’ examples

Church Hill Ave, Sandy Bay, Tasmania, 7001, AU

The address is good but incomplete, and an AQI “C” is expected.

Poor Quality ‘D’ examples

Hong Kong Blvd 108, HongKong, HK

The address is verified to the Thoroughfare level but with large changes (Matchscore 81), so an AQI “D” is returned.

Bad Quality ‘E’ examples

2010 Rutter St, Irving, TX, 75015, US

The address can only be verified with large changes to the Thoroughfare and Postal Code. Matchscore is 73, and the Address Quality Index is E.

Address Verification Code (AVC)

The accuracy code is made up of the following values:

The verification status

The post-processed verification match level

The pre-processed verification match level

The parsing status

The lexicon identification match level

The context identification match level

The postcode status

The matchscore

e.g. V44-I44-P3-100 implies:

Verification Status = V (Verified)

Post-Processed Verification Match Level = 4 (Premise)

Pre-Processed Verification Match Level = 4 (Premise)

Parsing Status = I (Identified and Parsed)

Lexicon Identification Match Level = 4 (Premise)

Context Identification Match Level = 4 (Premise)

Postcode Status = P3 (Added)

Matchscore = 100 (Complete similarity)

Verification Status

V: Verified

A complete match was made between the input data and a single record from the available reference data

P: Partially Verified

A partial match was made between the input data and a single record from the available reference data

U: Unverified

Unable to verify. The output fields will contain the input data

A: Ambiguous

More than one close reference data match

C: Conflict

More than one close reference data match with conflicting values

R: Reverted

Record could not be verified to the specified minimum acceptable level. The output fields will contain the input data

Matchscore

The matchscore indicates how much the input data has been changed during the verification process in order to achieve the post-processed verification match level. 100% means no changes have been made. Data additions are not measured by the matchscore, only changes. Generally a matchscore of 95 or above indicates only a character or two have been changed during the process. If the input data is less clean a threshold of 80 might be considered, since significantly larger changes to the input data will then be allowed. Please note that this value gives no indication of the level of verification, that is given by the post-processed verification match level.
