Address
This is used to split addresses (e.g. 123 NW Main St SE Apt 4) into separate columns (Street_Number, Street_Pre_Dir, Street_Name, Street Suffix, etc.).
Each address will be standardized, split into USPS (in the US) or PAF (Post Office Address File in the UK) standard components then graded for overall completeness and accuracy.
WinPure™ Clean & Match is the only solution of this kind that can reliably find and extract a Street Address when it's surrounded by extraneous data. It can even separate Street Address from City/State/Zip when they're in the same field.
The following 16 additional columns will be created when you select the Address:
A_Street_number - (e.g. 123)
A_Street_pre_dir - (e.g. NW)
A_Street_name - (e.g. Main)
A_Street_suffix - (e.g. St)
A_Suite_type - (e.g. SE)
A_Suite_number - (e.g. 4)
A_Street_post_dir - (e.g. SE)
A_Box_number - (e.g. 21)
A_Box - (e.g. Box)
A_Box_type - (e.g. RR)
A_Box_type_number - (e.g. 12)
A_City - (e.g. Aspen)
A_State - (e.g. CO)
A_Zip - (e.g. 81611)
A_Zip4 - (e.g. 0000)
A_Country - (e.g. USA)
See below for an example of how it works. In this example the Address has been selected for column "ADDRESS".
Immediately, the 16 additional columns have been created on the Data Preview window (highlighted below). Clicking Run Clean will perform this process on the entire data table.
WinPure™ Clean & Match can process all types of addresses including Suite Numbers and City/State/Zip. A special Address Quality flag is returned each time an address is processed allowing you to easily identify questionable addresses. Also added is an Address Type flag indicating the type of address being processed: Street, Military, PO Box, Rural Route, Highway Contract, General Delivery or Suite giving you flexibility in their handling. And, for a more appealing presentation, let WinPure™ Clean & Match automatically set proper capitalization.
The feature alone will help to eliminate incomplete or questionable addresses, standardize addresses for easier matching and faster processing and ensure addresses are standardized to USPS or PAF recommended abbreviations.
